I need an approximate Project Rome BC2 ip address to find a better Internet Provider

Hey guys,
I’m playing BF:BC2 via Rome Project but my ping is around 300ms or over because I’m in Australia.
I have more than a dozen Internet Providers to choose from who might have a better connection to Europe but I can’t ask them to ping the BC2 servers becase I don’t know what info to give them.

Any idea which servers I can ask them to ping for me?

Hey Phantoma,

generally speaking: mostly your internet providers in Australia should be fine. Depending on the technology (e.g. DSL, fiber or via coaxial TV connection) you’ll have a increased latency of around 10-20ms. And also it depends whether you live in a rural area or inside a big city.

The main concern could be that there are simply no servers nearby. Australia is very far away compared to the server locations in russia / europa or america. So hosting a server in Australia and find ppl who live there to play with you (there maybe is a server in Australia, I don’t know).

Therefore changing your internet provider does not really change much. At least not with a 300ms+ latency. One option could be Star Link, they claim around 30-100ms latency depending on your location. But I have no way to verify this but I do not use Star Link (see https://www.starlink.com/legal/documents/DOC-1400-28829-70).

Anyway I hope I could clarify this a little bit.

Thanks KnochenKotzer21, I was wondering about Starlink. I’ll look into it.
