I'm playing BF3 through EA Desktop. Will VU work with EA Desktop instead of Origin?

Hi there,

As the title says, I’m trying to log in with my credentials with EA Desktop instead of Origin because I have Battlefield 3 installed through that application. I figured it might work since they both use the same EA account. However, it doesn’t really seem to do anything for the first-time setup of linking my VU account when I start up EA Desktop and enter my credentials.

I tried launching Origin instead and entering my credentials but I get an error, which I suspect is from me not having BF3 installed on it.

Any help would be appreciated!

Try locating game with origin. It will then register the game in origin. Should help solve your issue. Here is link explaining how to do it. It’s not difficult.

I’m afraid this isn’t even applicable to my issue since BF3 doesn’t show up in my Origin Games Library at all. Thanks for the help, though!
