My friend can't join to my server

Hello everyone! I’m hoping somebody may help me with my problem on this forum.
I wanted to play this game with bots in a private server with a friend. I was able to create it and I can join to my own server and play with bots just as I wanted, trouble is… my friend is not able to join my server. Everytime I load the server and he tries to enter, a “connection failed” message shows up. I saw in previous topics that people asked to show the console log so my friend copied what it said in his attempt:

[00:24:21] [info] Mounting the VU mod data File System.
[00:24:25] [info] Initialized VU client (build: 20079, VEXT engine version: 1.14.0)
[00:24:38] [info] Update check complete. No new updates available.
[00:24:44] [info] Initializing the VeniceEXT engine v1.14.0…
[00:24:44] [info] [VeniceEXT] Successfully loaded the built-in VeniceEXT module.
[00:24:44] [info] Connecting to VU server with ID (it showed my ip number)
[00:24:44] [error] [WebUI] [main] ResizeObserver loop limit exceeded
[00:24:51] [info] [VeniceEXT] Unloading VeniceEXT module ‘vu’.

I have port forwarded and created exceptions from my firewall in order to play but it doesn’t changes anything. On the other hand, we both are able to join any other server so I don’t understand what might be the problem.

I had exactly the same problem when I recently built a new pc. It turned out in my case to be the antivirus software (Avast) in which I needed to create an exception rule for VU.exe. Did that and it worked perfectly and we were back playing together again.

Have you also created firewall rules on Windows firewall as well? By default, all inbound connections are blocked, so you have to create rules for VU or disable the firewall (not recommended)

I suggest you should either check if your Antivirus or firewall is preventing your friends from joining the server. Sometimes an unopened port also causes such an annoying issue.
