I really love everything about what you guys at VU are doing to Bf3 to keep it alive and I do enjoy playing against the bots! Its ridiculously fun! But I am a bit worried about one thing. The fact this game will be shut down by EA this November is gutting. What will happen to the VU support? Please dont tell me you wont be able to play it anymore against bots! I hope one can provide an answer! Thanks!
Only the PS3 and 360 versions are affected, PC will work just the same after the shutdown. Even if the official PC version were to shut down this project is completely separate.
But you have to authenticate with EA to register the game/licence? So if they shut that down, then what?
I just want to keep playing nostalgic games from my youth, the maps, the sounds, the gameplay. All remind me of a better overall time.
That’s done entirely through Origin, if Origin shuts down it would probably mean EA is going completely bankrupt.
Ah righto that explains that then, gotcha.
… but what about the heat-death of the universe, then what will we do??? /s
