hey there… one of the last versions of the mod has a 2nd command menu… just like the one u have by holding “q” key… in this case u gotta hold the “alt” key I think… in there u’ll see new commands like “attack target”, “defend target”, etc… that’s the closest to what u wanna do I guess.

Hello guys! thanks for making bots for this game, been drooling about it forever! but I got a question. I made all txt files in right direction with all the commands but when I start the VU server it doesn’t use my server name but my PC name, also the map is wrong and no bots and so on…
I read somewhere in this thread about “formatting issue” on the txt files, I don’t get it. I got the english language on the Windows 10.
Do you know this problem? what’s the correct solution?
Solved the problem! the problem was when I created txt files they ended with .txt and could not be read by VU server. I noticed this when a person here posted a Startup file and I added it in my folder and it didn’t have .txt at the end of the file!

i make i set a admin password in startup.txt

Hi. I don’t think bots respond to commands yet like “get in vehicle” ? Is this planned. Cheers. This is my first post here so I’ve gotta say its great to see this game being given bots !

as far i know they dont act on commands, would a sweet thing to have a gunner in the jeep hehe
Yes just got it working. Bring bot command commo rose up with ALT, although it won’t stay on thee screen for me to select command with mouse cursor unless I use ALT from my Steam Controller then it stays up so I can select with mouse cursor. Weird as I don’t have ALT set to toggle on the controller. Anyway I got a bot in tank on the MG !

Rn I can oly use the own commo-rose (default LEFT ALT).
There are some commands coded. But I really hope to get the support to use the default commands one day…
You can use LEFT-ALT to tell nearby bots what to do. WIP
I’m really sorry that you are having these issues. I never hat or heard of such an issue.
Are you sure that your startup.txt file is used? Please make sure that the file really only has one .txt at the end.
Maybe contact someone on the official VU-Discord-Server?
Did you setup the pasword and port correctly in the startup.txt file and is the file used by the server? You can check that by having a look at the servername…
Is there a way to make bots in your squad stay near you/follow ? Or would that be a feature request ?
there is no way to do so yet since the bots only follow their own paths. Not sure if this is possible with the current way the mod works…
