Okay, so I played a match last night with 32 bots on Caspian Border on a 120hz server, and it indeed carried over to the next map without any crashes. Awesome. But I want the full Battlefield experience, so the next day I played the same map but with a higher bot count (64, the max player limit for the game on its own). I did that on a 30hz server, and whenever I did 60 or 120 with that bot count, it makes the game lag behind. Cool, the 30hz is a workaround and it didn’t lag a whole bunch. But when I finished playing the first map, it ended up crashing once I won the match. So what now? I’m playing with the latest dev build, so what’s the problem here?

I have had no issues with crashes since switching to the Dev3 build.
I even put the Vote Map mod back in and have had no problems.

Also I have only tried running with 32 bots max, since I ran into lag issues as well with higher counts.

The application does seem to be a bit touchy though with the map names and game options.
I copied the maplist.txt from the Fun Bot mod directly over to my maplist and ran my test for 48 hours, then went back in and removed all of the maps I don’t want running on my server.

Something to consider trying?

Okay, so I just got done with another testing session. Did as you told me with the maplist.txt, but the weird thing is I got the next map loaded up after I won the first match, and then it crashed when the second match was won. I don’t get it.

how Can i play on Capture the Flag gamemode with bots? or air superiosity?

Are you running just the Bots mod for testing?

Your next step might be to reach out to the Discord group and ask someone else there.

As far as I know, there is only one supported CTF map for FunBots.

This is the official list of supported maps

I’m using supported multiplayer maps, trust me. Also, I’m not playing CTF, I’m just doing Conquest.

I think I’ll take you up on using Discord to be more personal with my issues.

The CTF comment was for another person who had asked about what maps they could play CTF gamemode on. :slight_smile:

Hey! Is it possible to have a bot not join the game when a player leaves a team?? Right now a bot leaves when a player joins. I want it so when this player leaves, the bot does not join back. Is this possible?

A simpler way of doing this is to not kick a bot when a player joins

The menu isn’t appearing when I press F12. The cursor shows and I stop moving, but there’s no GUI.

Fresh Install on everything, running the latest version of Funbots and VU.

You need to get the permissions to open it just turn it to true in your config.lua file

I’ve already done that with ProCon. I’ve also enabled IgnorePermissions and DisableUserInterface is set to false.

Hi all. I’m pretty new to modding and am not super computer smart. I downloaded and got this mod running but I feel like I messed around with the settings and somewhere really downgraded how smart the bots play. Here are the issues I’ve been having:

Initially the bots would just run somewhere midmap and just die? Not kill each other but just die. I have bots can kill themselves off.

Secondly, they also do not use vehicles. I have bots can use vehicles on. Squad member bots will join me in the vehicle but that is the only time that bots will use vehicles.

I feel like I accidently set a trace path for ny bits, and then when I tried to reset/get rid of it my bots started acting like this.

I have tried completely removing the mod and re-installing it, and they would still not use vehicles. I tried to uninstall and download an older version of the mod 2.7.2 I think… and that didnt work either.

I have tried using both a 120hz and a 30 hz server

Any tips? Thanks!

Bot’s invincible when spawning

It seems like bots are invincible for a second or two when they spawn. Is there a setting to disable the invincibility?

spawnkillers get into hell :smiling_imp::grin:

Just to thank You @De_Joe-91 , no more crashes and I can set those bots as good or stupid as I want.

Whilst bots flying is… what I would imagine aliens would do in their first visit to earth, all confused about gravity and directions and all the small pricks running around, this is THE BEST mod one can get.

And thank you to all who have participated in map tracing and bug reports.

I might be a bit drunk right now (drowning my true life losses the wrong way) but I am happy with this mod. And grateful.

First of all, thank you so much for the effort in putting this A.I. bot mod together for the community, thoroughly respected & much appreciated!
Out of curiosity, does said mod work to make A.I. bots available on both team sides for Battlefield: Bad Company 2? If not, do you know if said possibility is available for BFBC2? I’ve played before in servers including both real players & A.I. bots & I would love to go down memory lane when the player activity is low as well.
